Update coming soon.
The latest, briefly: I accepted a temp position at Nature’s Path, an organic cereal factory up in Blaine WA. They work 12-hour shifts at that company (one of the reasons I decided not to apply towards an open permanent position; I’ll write more on that soon). Consequently, this upcoming weekend is going to be kind of a slog.
I was hoping to have some thoughts well-enough put together to write a full update today, but no dice. Need to get to bed so that I can start my day at 5am tomorrow. I’ll try for Monday instead.
(No worries, by the way. I’m a little grouchy about this specific work schedule, but generally relieved to be working again. This year is off to a decent start.)
15 from Fiction, follow-up
As if there was any doubt that I’m my father’s son, last week my dad sent me an email with his own [15 from Fiction] list in reply to mine. His included Tristan Ludlow from Legends of the Fall, Kilgore Trout, James T. Kirk, and Hermann Hesse’s Siddharta.
You may draw your own conclusions. My conclusion is that my dad rocks. <3

I was hoping to write more tonight, but I just spent the last hour jotting off some lengthy emails to friends and I’m getting pretty tapped-out. Maybe I’ll pickup the chain of thought here on Weds or Friday.
Meantime, here’s a glance at the latest batch of new photos that I tossed up on Flickr last night:
Tunnel vision
It’s been a rough slog the last few weeks, physically. This Sunday was supposed to be the finish line, but it got pushed back by excess workload. My first free weekend in six months is now 9 days out.
Just need my body to not break in the next 9 days, and I’m golden.
The dog is wrong.
There’s a new Song of the Whenever up, though it’s not a song; it’s a story. Kind of. It’s called “Walks Into” by [I'm Not Jim].
This track came up on my college radio station today, and it had me standing there mesmerized. [Just listen.]
B’ham vol 3
[B'ham, Volume III] is now up! I’m completely happy with this one. Not much else to say. The Song of Whenever is new too, so check it out! (It’s “Bluebird” by [Blanche].)
I have material to make a 4th mix, but I think I’ll set the project aside for awhile. …
