Okay, ’nuff stalling. Here’s the barest facts about my plans for Fall:

I’ll be taking one class at the college (MATH 240: Statistics). I would’ve liked to have taken a second class, but there wasn’t room in the budget. Money is still tight, but workable. Bills getting paid, money saved for next quarter, etc. 

Work at the mill is starting to pick up, with new-harvest wheat keeping grain prices reasonable and larger pre-holiday orders coming in.  The growing season at the nursery is running much longer than I’d expected, though the greenhouses are starting to thin out and the weather’s starting to turn cool & wet. Still no set date when my last day will be; I’ll probably be there through early October. I’m holding off on finding a new job until I know for sure. More on that in a few weeks.

The new apartment is finally starting to look like something of a home. After a sudden burst of productivity, I now have at least a small set of chairs to sit on, and some neat folding screens that I made out of refurbished closet doors. And a pair of 4′x6′ collage sheets on the walls: one lemon yellow, one lime green (that’s the general color scheme of the place). And shelves! And a bicycle! (The bike is, sadly, also furniture at the moment, as it needs a new crankset.)

Everything else is happily steady-going. Just got back from a fun, relaxing camping trip w/ my mum, out on the Olympic Peninsula– my first real break from work all summer long. Looking forward to a weekend jaunt down to Portland next month for a Columbus Day party (it’s a long story). Hoping I can afford to do some snowboarding this winter up on Kulshan (had to skip all of last season due to lack of funds… I’m suspecting this winter may be similar, but we’ll see…)
